Good Spirit Housing Authority serves the communities of Melville, Yorkton, and Canora and provides affordable housing to low-income seniors, families, and others who could not otherwise access safe, secure shelter. The Housing Authority has an opportunity for a regular, full time MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN.  This position will travel from Melville to all locations Good Spirit Housing Authority serves.

What you'll do:
-Building maintenance,service and repair
-Vacancy preparation
-Maintain housing authority equipment and inventory
-Grounds maintenance and snow removal
-Provide after-hours emergency call-out within the Housing Authority locations

What we're looking for:
-A result focused, involved, self-starter who demonstrates respect for peoples diversity and individual differences, a team player
-Proven experience maintaining and repairing boilers, plumbing, heating, and electrical systems
-Experience conducting custodial & maintenance work
-Well-rounded knowledge in a variety of trades to include light carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, painting, electrical and grounds work.
-Ability to foster excellent and effective relationships with tenants, housing authority employees, contractors, and service providers
Working knowledge of and adherence to Federal and Provincial OH&S Act and Regulations

What you'll need:
-Grade 12 and several years experience in maintenance and repairs
-Basic computer skills
-Good judgement and superior ability to plan, problem solve, multi-task, set priorities and maximize efficiency
-A valid drivers license and basic tools
-Ability to participate in an on-call system
