The Upstander Education Coordinator is responsible for the YWCA Upstander Program, this program offers engaging workshops, presentations, and education for Men and Boys with the intended outcome of eliminating gender-based violence. The Upstander Education Coordinator will deliver presentations to men and boys in Saskatoon and rural locations. QUALIFICATIONS:
Two-year post-secondary diploma in a related field (ex. education, social or human services, child and youth work, family studies etc.) and/or relevant work experience.
strong facilitation or training experience
effective oral and written communication skills
strong problem-solving skills
skill in time-management, organization, and prioritization of multiple tasks
Indigenous cultural awareness and demonstrated promotion of cultural safety
ability to connect with children and youth from diverse backgrounds, grounded in the principles of trauma-informed practice, anti-racism, and feminism
ability to work independently and as a part of a team
sound computer skills
ability to work flexible hours
valid Saskatchewan drivers license and access to a vehicle is an asset
an understanding of, and commitment to, the philosophies of YWCA Saskatoon.
