Description

The Upstander Education Coordinator is responsible for the YWCA Upstander Program, this program offers engaging workshops, presentations, and education for Men and Boys with the intended outcome of eliminating gender-based violence. The Upstander Education Coordinator will deliver presentations to men and boys in Saskatoon and rural locations. The Upstander Education Coordinator will deliver presentations to men and boys in Saskatoon and rural locations.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Two-year post-secondary diploma in a related field (ex. education, social or human services, child and youth work, family studies etc.) and/or relevant work experience.

    strong facilitation or training experience
    effective oral and written communication skills
    strong problem-solving skills
    skill in time-management, organization, and prioritization of multiple tasks
    Indigenous cultural awareness and demonstrated promotion of cultural safety
    ability to connect with children and youth from diverse backgrounds, grounded in the principles of trauma-informed practice, anti-racism, and feminism
    ability to work independently and as a part of a team
    sound computer skills
    ability to work flexible hours
    valid Saskatchewan drivers license and access to a vehicle is an asset
    an understanding of, and commitment to, the philosophies of YWCA Saskatoon.
