Description

Access Communications Co-operative Limited is seeking a focused individual with a positive attitude who thrives on accuracy, multitasking and meeting deadlines to join our team.

In this position, you will be working in the Human Resources Department.

Main Duties include:
- Preparing, calculating and keying payroll for in-scope and management staff while adhering to company policies, legislation and collective agreement.
- Maintaining HRIS and online time and attendance software.
- Assisting in the administration of the Company's confidential benefit and pension plans (reporting new enrollments, coverage changes, terminations and pension transfers).
- Preparing and/or submitting benefit claims (disability, WCB, etc).
- Assisting with the preparation of T4's, T4 summaries and annual filings (WCB, OSFI, Health & Safety, etc).
- Assisting with the organization and administration of various payroll programs (Gift Purchase, Transit Bus Pass, Roughrider Season Tickets and Health and Wellness plan).
- Maintaining confidential personnel files.
- Assisting with GL entries per pay.
- Preparing monthly account reconciliations.
- Assisting in the administration of employee inventory by issuing and retrieving inventory and ensuring inventory records are up to date.

Competencies for Success:
- Completion of 1st Level Payroll Management Certification (PCP) or equivalent education, as well as a minimum of two years of experience in a computerized payroll environment. Experience with standard accounting principles and introductory accounting classes would be an asset.  
- Experience with ADP Pay Specialist and a HRIS Time and Attendance Software would be a definite asset.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
- Advanced experience with Excel spreadsheet and word-processing applications is required.
- Clear Criminal Record Check.
