Wallins Bigway Foods is looking for a Sausage maker/Meat Cutter/Butcher who has experience in cutting and preparing Meat for Retail fresh meat counter, as well as experience in Sausage Making and Smoking. An ideal candidate would be someone who enjoys working with meat and willing to learn.
Responsibilities:
-Cut, Trim, debone and prepare standard cuts of Meat according to specifications using knives and power tools (eg. Saw, grinder, stuffer, tenderizer)
-Wrap, Package and Price prepared meats
-Taking and preparing Customer Orders for special cuts
-Preparing Fresh ground meat using a Grinder
-Clean work areas and equipment, check products and packaging.
-Value addition in Meat department
-Preparing a blends of marinades and stuffed items
-Interacting with Customers and assisting them
-Sausage making using a variety of sausage making tools
-ensuring counters are full of fresh products
-Receiving Stocks from suppliers
-Perform other duties as assigned
Requirement:
(Sausage Making experience will be an asset)
-Able to lift up to 50 lbs
-Able to stand for 8-10 hours shift
-Team Oriented, Team Player
-Good Communication skills
-Excellent Customer Service Skills / Customer Focus
-Able to fulfill the customer's requirement in timely manner.
-Action oriented / Manages Complexity
-Demonstrate Self Awareness
This position is based on 32 to 40 hrs/week. The candidate must be able to work days, evening and weekends if required.
