Viterra is seeking a Truck Logistics Coordinator to be responsible for dispatching and scheduling shipments within transportation logistics as well as minimizing freight spreads and overall costs. This position will work in Viterras Regina, SK head office.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure all shipments are on schedule and booked within contract periods as defined by the sales contract terms.
Participate in forward booking of freight as required to secure cost effective transportation of commodities.
Analyze freight variance reports to maximize freight spreads and overall costs.
Assist in managing shippable stock inventories and initiating transportation plans that allow for maximum utilization and efficiency.
Direct loads to the most profitable destination based on freight information provided on sales contracts.
Communicate and investigate discrepancies in freight invoices.
Communicate with all parties including end use customers, employees, and producers to ensure all customers' expectations are met or exceeded.

Knowledge and Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Analytical thinker with a keen eye for detail.
Enjoys a challenge and thrives in a fast-paced and changing team environment.
Has the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external customers in a diverse industry.
Efficient in MS office and experience utilizing relevant computer software programs.

Education and Qualifications:

Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Finance, Agriculture or Business Administration.
Basic understanding of the Canadian Grain Industry would be an asset.

Equivalent combinations of education and experience that result in the required level of knowledge skill and competence will be considered.
