Within the policies of the organization the Housing Coordinator is responsible to oversee the Support teams, to service to the people according to the day-to-day outreach operations at Awasiw working in collaboration with the Network staff.
The Housing Coordinator manages the following activities:
Manage the staff and provide capacity to support individuals that are homeless or at risk of being homeless
Set protocols for obtaining participant consent to retain and share information
Determine resources designed for the needs of the individual
Represents the organization in a professional manner, as a public ambassador
Works in co-operation and co-ordination with other organizations to coordinate access
Refer individuals to a lead agency for further assessment and referrals
Assist individuals with navigating the systems when struggling with homelessness
Always maintain confidentiality
