Description

Since its inception in 1989, PTI Transformers has grown to be the largest privately-owned Canadian manufacturer of electrical power and distribution transformers.  Today, we operate manufacturing facilities in Regina and Winnipeg, and a warehouse in Mississauga.  We are a Platinum member of the Canada's Best Managed Companies program, one of Saskatchewans Top 100 businesses and are ISO-9001 certified.

With annual corporate sales of over $100 million, our success is a result of the dedication of our 330 hard-working staff. PTI focuses on providing outstanding service to our customers and a safe work environment for our employees.  Our production facility is clean and well-organized with a focus on teamwork, quality and innovation.

Our production facility operates only one shift from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm and shop employees enjoy having every second Friday as an earned day off. PTI has a competitive total compensation package including company-paid benefits and a pension plan.
In order to be considered for this position, you MUST already be living in Canada and be eligible to work, as we do not have an open LMIA. A criminal record check will be conducted before hire.
Minimum requirements are a grade 12 diploma and the Sask Polytech pre-employment welding certificate (or equivalent) plus prior production welding experience. A transferable CWB welding ticket would be an asset. Must be able to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals and processes. Position is required to examine welds and determine if meets standards and/or specifications.

We are unable to accommodate apprentices working towards their journeyman status.
