Viterra is seeking an IT Specialist, Infrastructure who is responsible for the diagnosis and resolution of technical issues in the Core Computing and Server environment. In addition, the successful candidate will be accountable to investigate security breaches and assist with recovery plans and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Prioritizes and diagnoses incidents encountered in the environment
Initiates and monitors actions to investigate and resolve problems
Provides advice and guidance on the application and operation of security controls
Evaluate, recommend, install, test, configure and maintain operating systems, software and equipment
Assists in the planning and implementation of new installations, scheduled maintenance and changes within the system
Configures tools to automate the provisioning, testing and deployment of new and changed infrastructure
Implements arrangements for recovery procedures
Documents details of all hardware/software items installed and removed
Knowledge and Skills:
Proven ability to communicate effectively
Excellent customer service orientation
Proven ability to work effectively in a team and independently
Demonstrated knowledge of industry best practices
Superior knowledge in Windows Server as well as Active Directory and Group Policy management
Proven experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager and application packaging
Demonstrated knowledge of Endpoint Protection Platform and Endpoint Detection and Response management and remediation
Education and Qualifications:
Minimum of four (4) years related business experience
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Information Technology or a related discipline
Provide on-call technical support, be able to work nights and/or weekends as needed
Equivalent combinations of education and experience that result in the required level of knowledge skill and competence will be considered
