Job Description:
The goals of IAFNYES is to help transition youth (Age 18-30) to the workforce
or Post Secondary School and reduce long term dependency on Income Assistance.
The Big River First Nation is seeking an energetic, qualified and reliable individual to work out of the BRFN office to co-ordinate the newly funded Pilot Project for Income Assistance Clients. The Co-Ordinator will be directly accountable to the Director of Social Development.
Salary will be negotiable and will be based on experience and education.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Case Management, Social Work or Counselling
- Experience in Motivational Interviewing, Case Planning
- Experience with creating and following work plans, budgets and reporting
- Experience in completing and maintaining client files
- Experience in coordinating and facilitating meetings
- Proficiency in the use of computers, presentation skills and excellent writing and communication skills
- Must have some knowledge of current supports that may be available for clients to access in overcoming their barriers to employment
- Must be a strong team player and ability to work independently
- Must be willing to accept constructive criticism and ask for help when needed
- Must maintain CONFIDENTIALITY at all times.
- Ability to speak Cree would definitely be an asset
- Must provide your Double Vaccination COVID-19 record with application
- Must provide a Criminal Record Check with application
- Must be a Role Model in the Community and Abstain from Drugs and Alcohol.
- Good work ethic and attendance record
- A Valid Drivers License and a reliable vehicle is mandatory
