Description

The Optometric Assistant is responsible for the retail and repair of eyewear products as well as follow-up patient care.

Responsibilities

Educate clients about the best eyewear choices for their lifestyle, ensuring they receive the best in value and quality;

Inform patients about advances in corrective eyewear solutions;

Assist with selection of frames to suit the clients aesthetic and performance needs;

Interpret optical prescriptions as written by optometrist;

Perform frame and facial measurements to ensure correct fit and positioning of eyewear;

Submit prescription eyewear requisitions to manufacturing lab;

Perform repairs and adjustments to patients eyewear;

Arrange and maintain retail display area;

Contribute to store retail sales goals;

Uphold excellent customer service standards using charisma and problem-solving skills;

Other related duties.
