Bo-Peep Daycare Cooperative is a well-established non-profit daycare in the Rosemont area with a dedicated team of staff. Were looking to hire a qualified, innovative and dynamic director to manage our operations and sustain a positive learning environment for children.
The director will be required to promote the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth of the centres children, while leading the staff in daily operations. They will aid with the administrative duties of the centre (e.g., payroll and budgeting), and foster a positive environment for children, staff, and parents/guardians.
Responsibilities:
Ensure that Centre facilities are safe for children and comply with laws and regulations
Manage and support and evaluate the staff
Interview, hire, and train qualified staff members
Complete ongoing training and courses to remain up to date on standards and procedures
Communicate and meet with parents regarding their children and the Centres policies
Fill empty childcare spots as needed
Work with the board of directors to fulfill centres needs
Administrative duties
Requirements:
ECE level 3
Minimum 2 Years experience in a childcare setting preferred
Director or assistant director experience in a childcare facility an asset
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and time-management skills
Driver licence and access to a reliable vehicle
