Essential Responsibilities:
- Safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment ex. Packers, hand tools, pick up trucks
- Possible entry level positions available ex. Labour turning into an operating position.
- Conduct pre-trip/walk-around safety inspections and completes daily Field Level Hazard Assessments for all activities
- Maintain heavy equipment in good operating condition, reporting and logging maintenance requirements or concerns
- Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members
- Be a leader of both safety and production for the team by ensuring compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
Qualifications:
- Minimum one-years of heavy civil experience is preferred
- Experience in road construction/ subgrade
- Must have and maintain a valid class 5 driver's license
Work Conditions:
- 10 on, 4 off working 11.5 hours per day.
- Shifts subject to change due to weather
- Site based camp accommodations for non locals
- Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions
