Position Overview

Reporting to the Director of Maintenance, the Yard Care Technician is accountable to perform a wide-range of interior and exterior maintenance services.

Required Education & Experience

Grade 12
WHMIS and First Aid/CPR certification is an asset
Non- crisis prevention training is considered an asset
Experience relating to general repair and maintenance of housing units and basic landscaping would be an asset.

Physical, Cognitive and Sensory Demands:

Must be able to lift, bend, climb, push/pull, read/write
Must be able to work in confined spaces, high places and use ladders/scaffolding equipment
Must be able to use basic manual and power tools and have finger/hand dexterity

Other Requirements:

Must be fully vaccinated (2 doses) against Covid-19 & provide proof of vaccination
Employment is conditional upon a positive outcome from a criminal background check
A valid drivers license is required
Must supply own vehicle for use on the job
This position requires the individual to be on-call and respond to after-hour calls as necessary
