The instructor will provide instruction and tutorial support to students registered in the Disability Support Worker program. Areas of instruction may include, and are not limited to: basic care skills, behavioural support and crisis prevention, disability support services, exceptionalities and human growth & development, person-centered planning, and quality of life enhancements. Additional responsibilities include: planning and monitoring practicums, classroom management, monitoring student progress and providing feedback, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor of Education or Social Work Degree;
A current valid Drivers License is required;
The successful candidate must be able to (or willing to learn how to) effectively deliver curriculum via a blended or online delivery model.
Ability to obtain a full satisfactory security clearance for practicum facilities.
Accrediting Institute is Saskatchewan Polytechnic. The instructor must meet the accrediting institutes requirements.
