Description

This role is to ensure all required parts are ordered and received with our standard operating procedure. The position is a crucial part in making sure vehicles coming in are completed in a timely manner. This person should be effective at maintaining a relationship with suppliers and be meticulous about ordering accurate inventory.

Job Duties
Work alongside with production manager and repair planner
Accurately identify parts necessary
Work with vendors to locate and order parts
Order parts by phone, online and through body shop management system
Receive parts and inspect for claims quality and accuracy
Receive, tag and distribute parts immediately upon receipt or by 9am for overnight deliveries
Receiving and scanning invoices of parts shipments as they arrive
Verify correct parts with a mirror match
Return and re-order incorrect or damaged parts
Track incomplete order status (outstanding orders, backorders, and credits) and follow up as necessary
Coordinating with Technicians and estimator on the supplemental damage
Manage inventory, order parts, create purchase orders and receipt invoices according to company standards and policy
Answers and directs incoming phone calls and inquiries
Assists in keeping parts department and shop clean
Assists in the detailing process of vehicles
Places ordered parts on assigned part racks and carts
Assists in maintaining all departmental tools, equipment, and vehicle.
Post parts and sublet invoices

Qualifications
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
One year of experience in a retail or wholesale parts department
Ability to interpret vendor catalogs
Ability to use parts department computer system
Good communication skills
Hold a drivers license
