Position Title: Associate Dean, School of Business, School of Information and Communications Technology and Department of Arts and Sciences
The Associate Dean plays a major leadership role in positioning the School of Business, the School of Information and Communications Technology and the Department of Arts and Sciences to address the growing demand for educated and qualified individuals in a rapidly growing economy.
The Associate Dean is directly accountable to the Dean, School of Business, School of Information and Communications Technology and Department of Arts and Sciences, for providing administrative and educational leadership for instructional programs and special projects and provides leadership in advancing innovation in the schools.
The Associate Dean coordinates with program heads, faculty, staff, and administration on planning, program development and review and ensures quality standards. The incumbent is accountable for developing external relations for articulation and laddering purposes and is responsible for ensuring relevancy of programs through interactions with advisory committees, and/or professional associations. By implementing key initiatives identified in the strategic plan, operations forecast, and, operating and capital plan, the Associate Dean ensures school goals and objectives are met. Responsibility for monitoring school fiscal resources and recommending efficiencies is required.
The Associate Dean provides guidance to Academic Chairs. They are also responsible for academic initiatives and strategies, as well as hiring, mentoring and guiding of the Academic Chairs. He/she leads a broad range of initiatives impacting the daily and longer term strategic issues important to the institution. The Associate Dean also hires and supervises faculty and staff assigned to special projects and cross-program/school activities.
