Qu'Appelle Daycare Inc. is seeking a passionate, creative and enthusiastic individual committed to early childhood profession.
Qu'Appelle Daycare is located in the school in Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan, a small-town east of Regina on the #1 Highway. Its a non-profit, community organization licensed to provide care for 22 children ages 18 months to six years old. Hours of operation are 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
We are seeking an Early Childhood Educator level II or level I willing to obtain level II during employment.
This position is a split shift covering hours between 6:30-10 am.-3-6:00 pm.
Duties will include but are not limited to the following:
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate programming for children ages 18 months to 5 years.
Ensure the overall safety and well-being of the children attending the program
Assist in housekeeping duties
Assisting children with all necessary care routines such as diapering, toileting, feeding, etc.
Communicate and collaborate with families, colleagues, centre director and community to support high quality child care.
Attend meetings and relevant training when required
Required Qualifications/Certifications:
Certification in Early Childhood Education Level I, II, lll or willing to obtain during employment
Certification in First Aid and CPR
Criminal record check
Required Skills/Experience:
Experience working in an early learning environment
Positive role model and attitude
Critical thinking and problem solving
Creativity
Good communication skills
Employment Terms:
Compensation will be based on education and experience.
