JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director, Distribution Control Office, the Manager is accountable to provide leadership and direction to results driven team(s) or function(s). As a member of SaskPowers management team, this position is responsible to maximize the development, performance and engagement of staff, including directing work and providing regular performance feedback to ensure alignment with both departmental and corporate goals and objectives. The Manager is expected to thrive in defining and managing change with respect, to people, processes, and technology. This position represents a unique opportunity to build a new team focused on smart grid technology and operational excellence, improve safety for the public and SaskPower's employees and contractors, contribute to significant changes in how SaskPower manages its distribution grid, and improve customers service.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Lead SaskPowers Distribution Control Centre, the central permit issuing and operating authority for all of SaskPowers distribution systems
Ensure planning and execution of all operational permitting, and switching functions is conducted with safety and adherence to SaskPowers Standard Protection code as the highest priority

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Degree in Business Administration or Engineering, Diploma in Technology, Journeyperson Certificate, or other related equivalent AND/OR;
Related professional designation(s) and/or certification(s) AND/OR;
