Description

Whitmore Park Child Care Co-op is dedicated to creating programming that is developmentally appropriate, building on childrens strengths, accomplishments, and abilities.  Educators work to enhance each childs feelings of competence, independence, and self-esteem to aid in the development of a positive self-concept. Working as a team with co-workers and families is essential to creating collaborative partnerships that meet the individual needs of each child.  

Educators are responsible for assisting in the preparation and serving of snacks and meals.  There is also some general cleaning required to ensure a safe and clean environment is maintained.

We are currently looking for three Educators to join our team working with school-age children, 6 to 12 years old, and casually in our center with 18 month to 6 years.

WPCCC's School-age program runs from 7:00 - 10:00 am and 2:30 - 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday with full days on all school breaks, PD Days, and summer holidays. Educators will walk children to Grant Rd & St Matthews School each day. The right individuals are available for a variety of shifts within our operating hours of 7:00am -6:00pm. Two casual positions available, as well as a part time position offering 9 -15 hours a week. We are closed on weekends and Statutory holidays.
Community services, ECE, and Education students welcome, tuition reimbursement options available. Flexible scheduling around classes available. First aid certification an asset, must be willing to obtain a current Criminal record check with vulnerable sector.
