Under the direction of the Human Resources Consultant, Payroll, Employee Service Centre, this position is responsible for timely and accurate processing of computerized payroll and attendance records in accordance with City of Regina policies and various collective agreements in conjunction with Revenue Canada, Labour Standards and HRDC legislation. This position also provides a complete range of payroll support services for assigned departments. This position reports to the Human Resources Consultant, Payroll.
Typical duties include:
-Processes biweekly payroll, including verification of electronic time and attendance information, inputs payroll transactions, prepares, distributes and files specific payroll documents and forms
-Completes records of employment and employment verification forms.
-First point of contact for time and attendance support to employees and supervisors, including investigation and trouble shooting.
-Responds to requests and inquiries regarding payroll and time and attendance.
-Updates and creates process documentation
-Performs related work as required.
