Description

We have an immediate part time opening for a Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist. We are a busy one doctor small animal practice.

The successful candidate should have experience working in a veterinary hospital, kennel and/or experience with animals. The candidate should have basic knowledge of veterinary medicine/care.
Hospital Responsibilities: include, but are not limited to, assist Veterinarian during examinations, treatments, surgeries and taking radiographs, maintain cleanliness of exam rooms at all times, client/patient input using our veterinary software, and effectively communicate with clients by answering phones, booking appointments, and front desk duties.

Kennel Responsibilities: include, but are not limited to, cleaning and sanitizing runs and cages, feeding and caring for dogs and cats, walking dogs, doing laundry and general cleaning.

The successful candidate should be mature, self-motivated, hardworking, caring, energetic, reliable, punctual, dependable, and organized. This is a physical job and candidate must be able to multi-task, lift and carry up to 40lbs., stand and walk for a full shift. Candidate must have computer proficiency. Must be available to work evening shifts as well as Saturdays. Candidate should have reliable transportation.

Wage is dependent upon experience. Priority will be given to applicants with Veterinary and/or Kennel experience.
