Does collaborating with a high calibre events team at a dynamic and energetic resort sound like a phenomenal opportunity? Do you take supreme pride in your organizational skills, and your ability to negotiate, design and oversee the deployment of a broad range of event types, such as weddings, corporate retreats, meetings, and golf tournaments?  If so, we have the perfect role for you as the Director of Weddings & Events!

Role Specifics:

A team player who comes with Food & Beverage and Event operations experience.
Responsible for the details and logistics of all events, including weddings, corporate meetings and conferences, social events, golf tournaments and internal/resort hosted events.
Provide expertise to clients in the areas of meeting room setups and capacities, food and beverage arrangements, audio visual needs and all other specifics relevant to the client's needs.
For weddings, day-of coordination is required, in order to ensure smooth and accurate execution.
Act as the primary liaison between clients and the resort operating departments, communicating the needs and expectations of the client, with the goal of continuously delivering service excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have minimum of two years previous experience in a similar role of event planning. Must have wedding planning experience
A diploma or degree in Hospitality and Tourism or Event Planning would be considered an asset
Must have previous experience working in food and beverage service industry
Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational and time management skills a must
Maestro PMS knowledge an asset
Must be able to work both independently and within a team environment
Must be available to work evenings and weekends
This is a year-round position, with our busiest season being from May to October
