A Magnetic Particle Inspector:
Performs NDT examinations on pipe joints preparations
Interprets and/or evaluates NDT examination results and findings
Prepares organized reports detailing examination findings
Reviews and interprets customer specifications and requirements to ensure assessment compliance
Instruct and supervise code work for inspection trainees
Provide customer with ongoing information about job status, inspection reports, code information, and examination procedures

You are:
You are an experienced NDT technician who can adapt to shifting priorities and schedules. Cooperating with others to meet objectives, training new recruits, and ensuring compliance with codes and customer specifications are what you enjoy at work. You are comfortable with shift work and schedule variations. You can effectively manage time and priorities to meet deadlines, care about safety on the job site, and enjoy interacting with customers. In the past, youve
worked on a construction or industrial site, in a fabrication shop, or worked with machinery and equipment.

You have:
Certification from NRCan in MT
A minimum of Grade 12 or GED education
A valid drivers license
Computer skills including Microsoft Office

 

Skills and Abilities

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
 - NRCAN Certification Magnetic Particle testing Level 2
 - NRCAN Certification Magnetic Particle testing Level 3
Specific Skills
 - Set up, calibrate, operate and interpret magnetic particle test equipment
 - Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect defects
Testing Equipment and Methods
 - Visual inspection
 - Magnetic particle
