eHealth Saskatchewan is a Treasury Board Crown Corporation with the mandate to lead Electronic Health Record (EHR) planning and strategy for Saskatchewan. We have worked with our healthcare partners to make electronic the vast majority of patient healthcare information in areas such as labs, pharmacies, radiology, surgery, emergency rooms, hospitals, and we also work in partnership with the Saskatchewan Medical Association to implement Electronic Medical Records in physician clinics. Reporting directly to eHealths Director Strategic Planning and Corporate Governance, the Information and Records Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, managing and maintaining eHealths Information and Records Management (IRM) Program. This includes, but may not be limited to, the following:
Providing leadership and expert advice for enterprisewide IRM program;
Protecting and preserving records and information;
Overseeing record and information disposal approvals in accordance with legislated requirements; and
Developing, implementing and managing eHealths classification and retention schedules.
Required Education and Experience
Typically, the knowledge and skills for this position would be obtained through the completion of Records and Information Management certifications such as CRA (Certified Records Analyst), IGP (Information Governance Professional), etc. a university degree in business or completion of an information management program. This position also requires at least five years of applicable records and information management experience, including proven success developing, implementing, managing and maintaining an IRM program.
