Facility: COMMUNITY/PUBLIC HEALTH EAST
Job Description: As a member of the interdisciplinary team, under the general direction of the Out-of-Scope Manager of Addiction Services and in consultation with designated CPSP staff this position will provide In-Facility Addictions programming.  The programming will be consistent with accepted program models, evidenced-based practices, and the Sask. Addictions expertise to provide program direction for Correctional facility substance abuse education, treatment, and referral services will provide linkages and strengthen the development and provision of addictions programming for inmates.  

As per Section 48 of the Saskatchewan Human Rights code the Employer has determined that only female candidates will be accepted for this position.
Experience
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Diploma in Chemical Dependency studies.
- Minimum of two years of supervised addictions experience.
- SASSI(Substance Abuse Subtle Screening Instrument) Certification would be an asset

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

- Ability to demonstrate knowledge in addiction(s) and their effects on the family unit.
- Ability to accurately assess addiction(s) and make appropriate recovery plans.
- Ability to screen for addictions and/or addiction related issues and make appropriate referrals.
- Knowledge of screening and addiction assessment tools and procedures.
- Knowledge of group dynamics.
- Demonstrated knowledge of a Holistic Addiction Treatment Model, the transtheoretical Model of Change and the Developmental Model of Recovery (SMRS  Saskatchewan Model of Recovery Services).
- Knowledge of best practices in addiction field and harm reduction strategies.
- Ability to deliver workshops and program material to clients and community.
- Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team of professionals.
