Job Description: The Financial Business Analyst assists in the development, direction and maintenance of the financial and statistical information systems of the Health Authority to ensure asset and expenditure control, proper budgetary planning, and timely financial, statistical and management reporting in the Region in the area of their responsibility.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Accounting/Finance Certificate/Diploma/Degree
Enrolled in or completed a professional accounting designation (CPA; CPA, CMA; CPA, CGA or CPA, CA) or equivalent experience/combination.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, orally and in written form.
Possess strong analytical skills, decision making and evaluation skills
Must maintain a high level of competency and possess above-average organizational skills.
Must possess strong time management skills and be able to prioritize tasks effectively
Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and with minimal supervision.
Self-sufficient, goal orientated, self-motivated and ability to learn on ones own
Expected to maintain duty of confidentiality
Familiarity with MIS Guidelines and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Communication skills
Computer proficiency, specifically an extensive knowledge of accounting, spreadsheet and word processing programs
Organizational skills
