Position Summary
The Case Management Support Services Support Case Worker position assists Government Assisted Refugees (GARS) in their settling and integration process in the city of Regina. The position provides one on one support including settlement counselling, information & orientation, assistance with accessing health services, housing assistance including home visits and outreach and other activities aimed at helping GARS clients acclimatize themselves to their respective neighborhoods and community. The primary focus of the role is assisting clients through the initial stages of settlement and integration process in Canada.
Responsibilities
Client Services
Maintain an active caseload of 25 to 50 individuals
Review the needs assessments for Government Assisted Refugees (GAR's) provided by the Case Management Triage Center
In collaboration with clients Identify short and long-term settlement goals
Conduct individual group orientation sessions with Government Assisted Refugees
Conduct friendly home visits as required to re-assess client needs
Desired qualifications/Education
Education:
The minimum level of education required is a Community College Diploma preferably in Social Services, Counselling, Psychology, or related fields.
Experience:
Minimum of two year of experience in working with newcomer families, including adults, children youth & seniors and working in partnerships with other health and community agencies.
Other Requirements
Valid Class 5 Drivers License
Access to a vehicle

All positions at RODS require a clean criminal record/child abuse registry check. The annual salary for this position is $40,332.66 ($22.98 per hour)
