Early Childhood Educator Positions - Full Time
The USSU Childcare Centre provides care for children aged 6 months to 6 years of age, and has been in operation on the University of Saskatchewan campus since 1992. We have 180 children in total at our two locations, the Williams Location and our McEown Location.
We are hiring for full time ECE positions for our McEown location. Position will involve primarily our Infant Room. The Early Childhood Educators primary duty is to provide quality care in all areas of development in order to maintain the well-being of each child in the Centre.
Responsibilities Include (but not limited to)
Complete supervision of all child
Program planning, organizing and implementing
Maintain a current certification in First Aid and CPR
Maintain an open, communicative relationship with the staff in all rooms and with the parents at all times
Training & Qualifications:
ECE III or ECE II
Bachelor of Education with ECE III equivalency
Valid First Aid/CPR
A Canadian Police Reference Check in the past 6 months
Canadian Language Benchmark Level 7+
Starting Wage:
ECE III $20.04 per hour
ECE II $18.04 per hour
Matching Pension plan after 3 months probation is completed. Monthly EDO day.
Start Date:
Nov. 15, 2021, flexible

- First Aid Certificate
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate
- Early Childhood Education Diploma or Degree
Early Childhood Education Skills
- Provide opportunity for creative expression through the mediums of art, dramatic play and music
- Provide supervision and guidance of daily activities, field trips and special activities
- Prepare progress reports and discuss with parents and other staff members
- Plan and develop child care and nursery school programs
- Assess the developmental level of children
- Knowledge of licensing regulations

- Assist in housekeeping duties
- Assist in maintaining records of children
