Description

Duties:
Operate and maintain hot water boilers, heating and cooling systems in accordance with government regulations. Monitor and adjust all chemical levels in the systems
Operate and maintain all heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems
Perform all routine and preventative maintenance work on all equipment, devices and furnishings
Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage system
Maintain daily, weekly, monthly and yearly records via computer system, written reporting to supervisor on a monthly basis
Process e-mail, maintenance requisitions, supply orders
Assist with government and contract inspections related to fire system, boilers, building inspections and security system
Adhere to all safety and health regulations
Time management skills with the ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities.
Perform other work related duties as requested by a supervisor

Qualifications:
Minimum Grade 12 with a Firemans Boiler Operator Certificate (or willing to obtain 5th class)
Preference given to those with Red Seal Endorsement or Trade Certification
Minimum three (3) years building maintenance/trades experience a combination of education and experience may be considered
Computer skills working knowledge of computerized mechanical systems
Experience working with LLRIB communities is an asset
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Must possess a valid Class 5 drivers license and ability to travel
Current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check required
