An opportunity exists for a Psychiatrist to join our dynamic clinic as we provide Mental Health Care for patients in Yorkton and its surrounding communities.
The Psychiatrist will provide assessment and treatment for patients who are referred to Synapse Clinic from the Primary Care Providers within the province.
Patients in this category are aged 14 years and above. The Psychiatrist is expected to work in collaboration with the Community Mental Health Therapists and an in-house Psychologist .
The Psychiatrist will partner with the Saskatchewan Health Authority(SHA) for patients requiring in-patient care and he/she will be expected to be a part of the local Psychiatry On-Call rota.
Remuneration is based on the medical services branch fees for Psychiatrists per the Physician Payment Schedule.
Successful candidates will hold certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) in Psychiatry and be eligible for or hold regular licensure from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS) to practice in Saskatchewan.
It is preferable that this individual will be a team player, be able to practice independently and interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff and management. He/She should be able to function well in a high-volume environment with a commitment to provision of high quality patient and family centred care. He/She should be comfortable with Tele-Psychiatry as a mode of consultation.
The start date for this position is immediate on satisfying employment requirements.
