Description

The successful candidate will facilitate and support: cyclical program reviews, new program proposals and major curriculum modifications for academic programs at Sask Polytech. The Program Development and Review Consultant will engage collaboratively with faculty and stakeholders to enhance all aspects of academic quality. The successful candidate will contribute to a positive culture of evidence informed program development and review that ultimately leads to the enhancement of academic programming. They will lead through others in supporting the development of integrated, forward-looking, effective and responsive curricula.
This position will be one of 5 reporting to the Director, Quality Assurance and Learner Pathways, within the division of Learning and Teaching. Success in this role will be achieved collaboratively with their assigned academic partners and clients, aligned with other academic service partners and external agencies such as other polytechnics, government and external agency partners. The Program Development and Review Consultant must be creative and innovative in nature, open to challenging the status quo and be respectful of the need to maintain the integrity and consistency in program outcomes and quality academic standards. The importance of sharing your knowledge in program and curriculum development with others will be critical in this role. You will bring consistency, reliability and structure to the innovative ideas of the clients you serve. You will champion the Sask Polytech strategic objectives and ensure the strategic priorities such as indigenization, intercultural competencies, applied research and academic stewardship and excellence are embedded in the outcomes achieved and the services provided.
