JOB OPPORTUNITY
CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER
We are currently seeking an individual to join our team. This individual should have knowledge in the Saskatchewan Child & Family Services Act and the Federation of Saskatchewan Child & Family Support Standards. He/She must be willing to serve and deliver the child and family services to our youth at Pelican Lake Group Home.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
Knowledge of the Child and Family Services Act
Knowledge of Ministry of Social Services (MSS) policies and Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) policies
Knowledge and experience in assessments and case management
Knowledge of family trauma in family systems
Knowledge or understanding of the First Nations culture and ability to speak Cree will be an asset
Case management, court processes and procedures are mandatory in this position
All applicants must have strong reading and writing skills and computer knowledge for Case Management.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Four (4) year University Degree in Social Work (BISW, BSW)
Two (2) year work experience in Child Welfare
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Maintain a clear CPIC & Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)
Maintain a Class 5 Drivers license (no probation) and a reliable vehicle
Maintain confidentiality must sign Oath of Confidentiality upon hiring
Applicant must have good assessment skills, must have strong reading and writing skills that are essential for the documentation of client files.
Ability to handle high stress
