Direct Support Professionals are accountable to provide high level of quality Person Centered Support. Support is personalized to meet each individuals unique needs and foster self-determination, respect, and continuous growth. Our programs promote community inclusion and belonging through a vast number of recreational and social activities.
We are currently hiring on a casual basis at our homes in Hague, Sk. With the opportunities to move into part-time and full-time positions
The Position:
Applicants will be responsible for the direct care and safety of individuals with varying abilities. Disability Support Professionals are responsible for implementing individual care plans and ensuring a high quality of life for all residents. Duties and Responsibilities of Disability Support Professionals include the following areas:
Resident Care Includes: providing medical, physical, and personal support such as personal care, medication administration, Catheter care, and other duties
Resident Programming Includes: the facilitation of resident daily living activities, Day Program activities and participation in the community.
The Applicants:
Applicants would qualify for this position through experience working with individuals who experience disability- although this is not a requirement. Applicants must be available to work shifts that include weekdays, evenings, overnights, and weekends. Applicants must possess good interpersonal skills , willing to learn and receive appropriate training. A valid drivers license and criminal record/vulnerable sector check is required.
