Under the general supervision of the Chief Operating Officer, this position will be responsible for leading the merchandising operations for the Pats. This position will also work closely with Brandt marketing to leverage common requirements for merchandising services across the Brandt Group of Companies.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Develop, lead and execute merchandising strategy
Provide strategic sourcing and purchasing of all merchandise
Negotiate and implement vendor agreements
Negotiate product and shipping prices
Manage vendor relationships related to material and service needs and monitor vendor performance based on service, pricing, on-time delivery, quality and quantity of product
Analyze sales trends and adjust product offering accordingly based on revenue generating products
Maintain awareness of merchandising trends relative to the competition and stay informed of internal and external customer needs
Maintain inventory management records
Business development
Management of budget
Product portfolio development for the Pats and Brandt
Retail partner development to get the Pats Merchandise in retailers in the Regina and surrounding areas
Merchandise advertising and digital marketing
Compliance of all brand standards as set out by Brandt Marketing
Operation of the Pats retail store
Implement warehouse and logistics strategy; utilizing Brandt discounts with logistics companies
Other duties as required
Required Experience:
Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing or a related field
Previous experience in a merchandising/purchasing environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation skills
Strong planning and organizational skills
Highly analytic and detail orientated
Strategic business thinker who is results driven
Ability to coordinate activities across cross-functional teams
