SOFIA House has 1 position openings - one for a full time Day Shift Counsellor.
Provide support to women in a second stage shelter.
Provide information, education, and support to women as needed
Attend to crises within the house if needed and connect with the appropriate emergency services as required (Police, Mobile, etc)
Provide referrals and advocacy to ensure that women have the necessary supports to deal with barriers they face
Support and counsel women as needed
Ensure that all documentation of casework is provided
Maintain a welcome and comfortable environment, including ensuring the building is safe, tidy and clean for residents
