-inspect kitchen and food service areas,supervise kitchen helpers
-train staff in preparations,cooking and handliong of food
-order supplies and equipment,supervise kitchen staff and helpers
-maintain inventory and records of food,supplies and equipment
-clean kitchen and work areas
-maintain inventory and records of food,supplies and equipment
-may clean kitchen and work area
-may set up and oversee buffets
-may plan menus,determine size of food portions,estimate food requirements and costs,and monitor and order supplies
-may hire and train kitchen staff.
