Purchasing Specialist

The Purchasing Specialist position is perfect for an individual who is looking for a challenging role where they can expand their skillset while performing a broad range of purchasing activities. The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role in an agricultural manufacturing environment.
Primary Job Responsibilities
1. Purchasing and maintaining levels of supplies and consumables for the production and office facilities.
2. Sourcing and obtaining quotes from all available suppliers as required.
3. Maintain stock levels in production.
4. Manage production purchasing account.
5. Work with Accounts Payable coding packing slips.
6. Keep track of all employee purchases and generate invoices.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Customs and Logistics experience would be considered an asset.
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently with little supervision in a fast paced work environment.
- Experience with JD Edwards MRP manufacturing software or a similar program
The Certified Purchasing Professional designation would be considered an asset.
Travel within Saskatchewan is required.
National and international travel while infrequent may be required on an occasional basis
