Our Thermoforming Plant in Regina is presently recruiting for the position of Quality Assurance Assistant.

Functioning as a member of the Regina Plant Management Team and reporting to the Quality Assurance Technician, the QA Assistant is responsible for:
-Measures dimensions and performance criteria with customer or company supplied specifications using callipers and other measuring instruments.
-Evaluates quality of printing against customer approved samples
-Conducts first piece approvals
-Verify line food safety and quality parameters and ensure the product meets applicable requirements.
-Rejects or accepts production according to quality of samples inspected.
-Communicates with production staff regarding non-conforming product in order for timely corrections to be made.
-Has the authority to place product on hold and shut machines down.
-Participate in external audits (Regulatory, 3rd Party & Customer)-Follow up on any necessary corrective action items associated with these audits.
-Assist with Employee Food Safety and Quality Training
-Assist in investigation of consumer and customer complaints.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, some post secondary education related to quality with knowledge of GMP's, QA/QC policies, practices and procedures relative to food manufacturing.

Shift work will be involved.
