The successful candidate will ideally work 2 days during the week and every third Saturday.
The duties of the pharmacist will include but are not limited to:
- Working collaboratively with patients physicians and other health care professionals to ensure positive drug therapy outcomes
- Providing immunizations
- Performing medication reviews and using prescriptive authority to prescribe for minor ailments when appropriate
- Patient counselling on the selection and use of non-prescription medication
- Compounding prescribed pharmaceutical products
- Advising patients and health care professionals on the indications, contra-indications, adverse effects, drug interactions, and dosage of medications
- Ensuring the proper preparation, packaging, distribution, and storage of vaccines, serums, biologics, and other drugs and pharmaceuticals
Requirements:
- Licensed and in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals
-Strong sense of professionalism
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Strong problem solving skills
- Superior patient and physician relation skills
- Injection Certification
- Excellent leadership and performance management skills an asset
-Additional accreditation such as a CDE or a Geriatric Pharmacist an asset
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Working experience with Kroll Pharmacy dispensing software an asset
