Description

Working with Richardson opens to door to a world of possibility.  We currently have an opportunity for a 2nd Class Power Engineer at our Yorkton - Oilseed facility. Reporting to the Chief Power Engineer, this position is responsible for monitoring and operation of the deodorizing process and plant boilers including all ancillary equipment.

Responsibilities:

Monitoring and operation of the deodorizing process and plant boilers including all ancillary equipment

Following the daily operating schedule ensuring production quality and timetables are met

Logging all operation records as well as adhering to prescribed regulatory and Company requirements for Occupational Health and Safety, Food Safety, HACCP, Sanitation and GMP's

Understand and comply with all workplace health and safety requirements, company policies and procedures and general workplace rules

Participate in the day to day health and safety program by working in a safe manner at all times:

Always using the required personal protective equipment

Ensuring that authorized work is completed safely

Utilizing required controls to prevent risk of exposure to hazards

Participating actively in incident investigations, training, and other health and safety initiatives

Reporting all unsafe acts and conditions and all incidents, near misses and workplace injuries/illnesses as per company procedure

Qualifications:

2nd Class Power Engineering License or minimum of a valid 3rd Class Power Engineering license working towards their 2nd Class license

Minimum of 2-5 years experience in a manufacturing or processing environment

Excellent written, documentation and verbal communication skills

Willingness to work a rotating shift schedule is required
