Position and Responsibilities
As a member of the Process Operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining the underground dewatering infrastructure. Daily tasks include mobile equipment operation, sump maintenance, and installing/modifying piping to transfer water, solids, and compressed air. In addition, you will be required to work with various departments such as Mining, Maintenance, Process and Engineering departments. You will also be required to work with contractors to co-ordinate and carry out maintenance and improvements to the system. Education and Qualifications
Requirements of the position:
Minimum grade twelve diploma or equivalent
Qualified Mine Services Crew 2 job classification
Experience with pipe installation, underground sump maintenance, pipeline pigging, high pressure unijetting, and installing submersible pumps
Solid team player with excellent communication and organizational skills
Willingness to give and receive honest feedback
Self-starter with the ability to work with minimum supervision
Assets:
Qualified to operate the Unijet high pressure water blaster
