Description

The North Property Management Branch requires a service-oriented individual to join their team as a Journeyperson Plumber located in the northern community of Buffalo Narrows. This position will be responsible for performing a variety of operations and maintenance, grounds keeping and security procedures. The objective is to minimize equipment breakdowns or failures; to maximize equipment durability and efficiency; and ultimately ensure a safe, comfortable and cost-effective environment is provided to our building occupants.

You will have knowledge of theories, principles and practices and operating requirements and maintenance of a wide variety of building systems equipment such as gas fitting, heating, ventilation, electrical, air conditioning, refrigeration and plumbing systems and their components. You will also have knowledge of occupational hazards, safety precautions, applicable carpentry standards and regulations, plumbing codes and Saskatchewan provincial codes. Knowledge of the regulations governing this type of work (e.g. Boiler and Pressure Vessel Acts, etc.) is also required.

The qualified candidate will:

-Have a valid journeyperson plumber/gasfitter certificate and a current valid drivers licence;
-Have a valid firemans certificate; and
-Be in good physical condition in order to perform a variety of manual activities including climbing ladders and lifting or carrying objects.
