Position and Responsibilities
Cameco is looking for passionate professionals to lead the safety, health, environment, radiation, and quality (SHEQ) functions at the Key Lake operation. In this role you will manage two SHEQ functional teams in efforts to ensure safe and efficient production. You will work with various stakeholders to promote compliance and continuous improvement of Camecos programs and policies.
Additional responsibilities include communicating with regulatory agencies, collaborating with cross-functional project teams, monitoring corrective action implementations, evaluating the management of change (MOC) system, and providing subject matter expertise in the development of emergency response plans. You will also coach and develop supervisors and team members to improve overall team effectiveness.

Education and Qualifications
Requirements of the position:
Bachelors degree in science, engineering, or a related field
Ten years of experience in SHEQ functional roles with five years in a supervisory capacity
Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Assets:
Experience in the mining and/or nuclear industry
Familiarity with multiple SHEQ functions
Emergency response certification or willingness to obtain
