The role of the Senior Security Analyst is to assist the Saskatchewan WCB in maturing and improving its Cybersecurity operations and practices. Working in the IT Infrastructure Operations team, this role will help WCB to protect data and technology assets by identifying security vulnerabilities and developing action plans to address them. The Senior Security Analyst will interact frequently with other IT teams and with 3rd party service providers to help ensure that Cybersecurity best practices are applied to WCBs systems and operations. This role will also assist with Cybersecurity awareness and training programs to ensure WCB staff are aware of security risks and are vigilant against threats. The Senior Security Analyst will perform periodic vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and remediate vulnerabilities. This role will also analyze, review and maintain the IT security practices, procedures, processes, and controls and will assist with the design and development of new security solutions.
The Senior Security Analyst will provide day-to-day supervision for WCBs Security team.
Qualifications:
University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and at least one industry accredited security certification (i.e. CISSP, OSCP, CEH, SANS GPEN, GIAC-GCIH, etc.) Supplemented with at least 5 years related experience in Information Security, where a minimum of two of those years was in a Security Analyst role.
