This position reports to the Team Manager, Deskside Services and is responsible for researching and implementing new technologies, server maintenance, print management, application deployment, and basic network troubleshooting. This position will also provide technical support to staff and users, and will also be responsible for the System Center Configuration Manager server, patching and acting as a backup to the Service Desk Technician position.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Setup and troubleshoot hardware related issues on desktops, laptops, and tablets.
Troubleshoot and maintain corporate software within head office and customer service offices (CSOs), which involves configuring software for users and support for questions and problems on a daily basis.
Professionally manage/resolve Service Desk tickets from internal customers using our CRM tool.
Package, administer and configure new software and hardware both in head office and CSOs to help smooth the transition to new software and hardware.
Research, test and deploy new updates and upgrades to the current software inventory.
Provide support and guidance to other Tier II Technical Support positions.
Upgrade and patch operating systems on servers and desktops in both head office and CSOs.
Maintain computer network user accounts including the deleting, disabling and creating accounts.
Create, maintain, and secure shared files and folders for our corporate computer users.
Restore email, print, and file servers in head office and CSOs in the event of a disaster or accidental deletion.
Research new and maintain current anti-virus software policies to protect data integrity from corruption or loss due to malicious computer viruses on both head office and CSO servers.
Support SCICs mobile devices.
Make recommendations on scheduled down time for maintenance after hours.
Make recommendations for the purchase of hardware and software.
