Description

The Prairie Agricultural Machinery Institute (PAMI) was founded in 1975, on the recommendation of a federal commission on farm machinery advocating for the creation of a central agency for testing and evaluating farm machinery in Canada.  

The Financial Analyst position is integral to the short- and long-term success of PAMI and its 2020-25 strategic plan and is a critical member of the Business Enablement Team.

The Financial Analyst is a member of the team that ensures that the accounting function is performing and required tasks are completed in a timely manner.  The responsibilities include the following:
- Participates in accounting, financial and banking functions and processes
- Supports the Controller and the business partners in the effective coordination of the annual budgeting process and the period forecasting updates
- Meets deadlines in timely manner and contributes in the effective financial close and the delivery of critical reports
- Supports the Controller and CFO in the preparation of key reports to management
- A solid understanding of the financial systems and the interfaces impacting the flow of financial information throughout the organization
- Preparation of statistical reports required by various governmental organizations
- Involvement in the preparation for annual internal and external audits
- Under the direction of the controller, ensure that ad hoc requests are supported throughout the organization

Education and Experience:
- Commerce or Administration degree with specialization in accounting
- Minimum 3 years of experience within a similar position
