JNE Welding is one of the most diverse custom steel fabricators in Western Canada providing engineer-to-order, custom steel fabrications to the mining, petroleum, gas, heavy oil, energy, and environmental sectors. We are currently hiring Labourers. Reporting to the Shop Supervisor, Labourers are responsible for various aspects of yard and shop clean up and material handling.
The primary responsibilities of the role will include:
Responsible for working in accordance with OH&S regulations, JNE safe work procedures, ISO procedures, and JNE Values/Code of Conduct.
Material handling of raw material and finished parts.
Shop and yard clean up.
Assist with pressure testing of piping and vessels.
Assist shop personnel including painter, shipper/receiver, and fabricators.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
Grade 10
Previous work experience in a welding (or other industrial) environment would be considered an asset.
Experience working at heights would be considered an asset.
Additional preferred qualifications include:
Forklift training an asset
