The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:
Collaborate in the development, delivery and monitoring of Inclusion and Individual Plans (IIPs)
Attend regular meetings with Teachers, E.A.s, and parents/guardians to share information about what is being done, and what could be done to meet the needs of designated students.
Provide direct services and resource support to designated students, as needed.
Facilitate the referral process for those students requiring second level professional services
Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and E.As and provide recommendations for appropriate adaptations and instructional strategies for students
Collaborate in the scheduling of E.As to meet student need
Assist teachers in online resources and print resources
Work in collaboration with the library tech in developing a resource inventory
Work in collaboration with staff in improving our IT initiatives
Help staff in online learning and teaching
Participate in extracurricular activities.
The suitable candidates will possess the following qualifications:
Degree or Diploma in Special Education or related experience;
Experience working with Educational staff in a team environment;
Saskatchewan Professional A Teacher Certification or ability to obtain;
Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills
Must be proficient with the use of computers and any relevant educational software
Proficient in Google classroom and/or Microsoft Teams
Skilled in developing unit plans and searching for appropriate resources for teachers
Good problem solving ability and able to adapt quickly
Valid Class 5 Drivers License;
Must be able to provide a satisfactory Drivers Abstract, Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Screening;
