Description

Responsibilities:
-Perform work activities as part of the Safety Team
oDaily, weekly, monthly inspections relating to the Fire Prevention Program
oPerform respiratory fit tests per the Respiratory Protection Program
oWarehouse/purchasing specification support for safety related items
-Support Operational Leaders and Teams with respect to:
oHazard identification and risk analysis
oAuthorization and permit to work systems
oWorkplace inspections, audits and observations
oIncident investigation and classification
-Have an active field presence to encourage worker participation in Safety Programs
-Lead by example following Safety rules and procedures
-Participate in activities and meetings in a positive and engaged manner
-Provide a team interface with leaders and teams to answer questions, provide follow up information and to ensure consistent implementation of the Safety Management System

Skills and Qualifications:
-Safety Certification or active pursuit of a certification is an asset (e.g., CRSP, CHSC, NEBOSH, etc.)
-Post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety is preferred
-Experience in an industrial or mining environment is preferred
-Familiarity with provincial and federal health and safety regulations
-Knowledge of the ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Standard would be considered an asset
-Good written and oral communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
-Proficiency using SAP, SharePoint, Microsoft Office
-Past experience in the use of Synergie database is preferred
-Preference will be given to qualified Residents of Saskatchewans North (RSN)

Work Location & Schedule:
-McClean Lake site
-Maximum 14 days in with at least equivalent time off (Normally 14 days in/14 days out rotating schedule)  schedule will be agreed upon prior to work
-Normally an 11 hour work day, although some activity outside or normal working hours may be required
