Description

Reports to:
Director

Under the direction and guidance of the Director, the floor supervisor will provide supervising and assume responsibilities for the leadership of best practice within early childhood development. In the absence of the Director, the Supervisor will be responsible for the duties outlined in the Director's job description.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Ability to work as a contributing team member to implement and promote positive working relationships amongst the team.
Model best practices to encourage optimal child development.
Ability to identify and suggest opportunities for ongoing staff development.
Positive interpersonal and communication skills.
The ability to lead team members towards a goal.

Work Conditions:
Interaction with children, parents, staff and the public at large.
Working in a busy environment with frequent interruptions.
Full time is 40 hours per week with flexible hours.
A clean criminal record and vulnerable sector check is a requirement.

Job Duties:
Ensure safe and quality care of the children at all times in compliance with the Saskatchewan Child Care regulations. Ensure licensing requirements are upheld in compliance with the Saskatchewan Child Care regulations.
Participate in program planning and implementation
with the center. This includes ensuring educators are completing ASQ's on appropriate time lines, filling out memory books, and requiring staff to keep cell phones off the floor.
Make schedules for their center and ensure timesheets are completed correctly.
Ensure proper cleaning and sanitizing of respective center is done properly.
Maintain records and reporting requirements to ensure adequate communication amongst staff.
Provide positive leadership and guidance to team members to facilitate learning and program improvement.
Assist in the scheduling of emergency staff as needed.
Delegate duties to staff where needed.
Perform other duties and obligations as assigned by the Director.
